The Committee will draw upon its collective expertise to provide input, observations and recommendations on traffic safety issues in the RMWB.  We champion initiatives and solutions that will improve the safety of all residents of Wood Buffalo and, although based in Fort McMurray, are inclusive of all communities within the municipality.

The Committee will inform the community about road safety initiatives and seek community input when appropriate.  Communication of all traffic safety initiatives will be relayed to the public through unified key messages delivered by an appointed media spokesperson.

Evidence based research, as well as consideration of the goals of the Alberta Traffic Safety Plan and other traffic safety resources will be used to guide the committee to resolution of the selected issues.
